Yesterday I was talked into getting up early and going to a conference. The prospect of that didn't sound too appealing in the beginning of the week. At least until I heard what it was about.
Some of you may have heard my elevator speech about My Young Apprentice. For those of you who didn't, My Young Apprentice is basically a place online for children to connect with professionals and arrange to meet up and work together to support their preferred career. The reason for this is that a lot of children might say they want to be, say, a doctor. But have they ever met a doctor? Do they know what a doctor's schedule might look like? What sort of education does a doctor need to start his or her career? The answer is usually, "no, I haven't" and "I don't know."
One of the career options I am considering is a chef. But while I have met a (pastry) chef before, I don't know exactly what a chef does so this could even help me. I have only the media to explain it to me! And I highly doubt that "The Next Food Network Star" will tell me at all what a career as a chef is like.
But I digress, I wanted to talk about Product Camp.
Oh, how do I talk about this? It's an un-conference with a theme of a sort of product management. And I'm coming here because I know practically nothing about product management. And I'm coming here because I'm practically the product manager of My Young Apprentice. Scratch that, I'm the everything of My Young Apprentice right now because it's such a small community.
So here I am in Product Camp hoping to learn something knew.

Urge to travel
Yes, It seems I can't stay in the blog for very long. But whenever I think "oh hey, I should update" I tend get distracted and never post, and I must apologize for that. But anyway.
If you've been with me for a while, you'll notice sometimes (usually every few weeks) something sparks up my interest in travel again and I start planning another trip.
I love to go exploring new places, cultures, foods, customs... And so, sometimes I'll be craving something new. Wanting to escape this little town of Cary. But sadly things like expenses and time get in the way. And the fact that I can't travel on my own is also quite annoying.
Why am I telling you about this here? I don't really know. Maybe I was expecting to get help on how I could get past these difficulties of travel, but nevertheless. Here's my post.

The Tiger
Least I Could Do With a Digital Camera
So I took out my camera to try sneak a picture of The Tiger (but I have yet to take a non-blurry photo of her because of her odd aversion to cameras) but I got an idea for a photo while passing by a couple of goblets we got from a garage-sale. Which reminds me I need to go garage-sale-ing soon.
I'll probably put up another picture of this with some snazzy filter soon. For now, I will be attempting to get a picture of The Tiger again.

Absence
I'm not exactly sure if anyone reads this blog (the friends who were at my previous one, I hope) but I just wanted to say I'm still alive! Alive and well for that matter, I just haven't been willing to update my blog for the past... Well... Half a year it seems.
The only explanation I have for this is that life happened, no excuses, I just didn't feel like blogging.
